As adidas joins the lineup of global brands calling Mānawa Bay home, our objective for the company’s eighth New Zealand store was to deliver a comprehensive shopfront security solution that aligns with their premium yet functional store design. In a busy mall environment with extreme visitor numbers in peak periods, adidas needs a solution that can handle a high degree of interference and foot traffic.

The system was designed to meet the high standards adidas demands globally while blending with the store’s minimalist, modern design. adidas’ stores run with the precision and data driven insights that you would expect from a performance-focused global leader – so the information gleaned from accurate visitor counting is cross-referenced daily with sales to assess store conversion rates, staff performance, and traffic flows to inform rostering.

Esprit started a trial of Vitag Mini-Max tags in early 2010. Prior to installing the tags we had exceptionally high shrinkage in a number of our Concession Stores. The results have been outstanding with the shrinkage improvements of between 40% to 70%. We have since increased the number of stores from an initial 7 stores to approx 23.
